        Massage for my dog?   YES!!

YES!!!  Animals receive the same benefits from massage and touch as humans do. These benefits affect every major system of an animal’s body as well as their mental well being.

Massage promotes muscle health by relieving soreness, tension, and restrictions which can lead to more serious conditions over time.

Massage can increase circulation & oxygenation to the cells of the body
Massage can also:

• expedite removal of wastes & toxins
• stimulate the immune system
• decrease pain, soreness & stiffness
• restore supple muscle tone
• improve muscle function
• increase flexibility & range of motion

Conditions that can benefit from massage and bodywork include:

• orthopedic diseases (e.g. hip dysplasia)
• postop healing
• sports injuries
• arthritis
• weakness and stiffness due to inactivity and weight gain
• behavioral issues (fear, anxiety, insecurities)

Great for geriatric dogs and those suffering from dysplasia!  Massage decreases pain, soreness and stiffness.

Great for performance dogs!  Muscles that are healthy provide greater flexibility, range of motion and are at much less risk of cramping and injury.

Great for puppies and fearful dogs!  Massaging your dog can also reduce stress, reduce anxiety and encourage positive interaction with humans.

Great for your dog!  Massage will benefit most dogs and should be included as an important and integral part of their healthy lifestyle.
